⚠️ Warning: Avoid Angelina Yacht Charter Our September 2025 charter with Angelina Yacht Charter was the most unprofessional and unsafe experience we have had in years of chartering worldwide. The boat had serious safety defects from day one: • A boiling battery releasing toxic and explosive gas • Non-functional VHF microphone • Persistent sewage smell due to faulty pump • Freshwater system partly unusable • Multiple maintenance failures (doors, pumps, missing equipment) The staff member handling check-in and check-out was hostile, aggressive and openly confrontational. Every question was treated as an annoyance, and at check-out he escalated to direct accusations and unprofessional behavior. Despite all documented issues, the company offered zero compensation, dismissed severe faults as “normal wear,” and tried to shift blame for problems clearly caused by poor maintenance. We were even pressured into paying €850 for a platform hinge failure that showed clear signs of material fatigue, not misuse. This company does not take safety, maintenance, or customer treatment seriously. There are far better and more reliable charter operators in Croatia. I strongly recommend choosing another company.

We rented the Bali Catspace, and for a charter yacht, it met our expectations. The catamaran boasted good sailing autonomy, allowing for two days off the quay. Water and electricity supplies were sufficient for eight people (without children). Check-in and check-out were very smooth. Angelina, the base manager, the receptionist, and the technician were very friendly and professional. The marina is spacious and well-equipped. Thank you for a successful cruise! See you next season! Ahoy!

We are really regret to write again this mail... but the behavior we received in biograd is intolerable. I will explain what happeed and i ask you a contact for send a Legal mail. As we told you before we start our trip in late Saturday for a problem in dinghi engine... then on Monday we had a big problem with left engine in Trogir. That's could be happen... and the angelina man there in aci marina trogir worked so hard for find the piece broken... he don't find it and he try to repair " just temporarily " by his hand... but of course he can not guarantee the work of engine. He told us " i fix with my hand stronger as is possible but i dont know how long will it run" . He tell us that he do a report and in 3 hours someone will conctact us . Off course the maganager in biograd Mr. Kulas know the situation after my previous emergency motor call. NOBODY contacted us... we are really disappointed! We are in the sea...with thought that every gear change the engine will no work anymore. We lost many time during our holiday for this and nobody supported us in tha bad situation.. Leaving aside the general poor conditions of the boat ( widespread general damage even of a serius nature for a great navigation, poor cleanliness... if you want we can make a detailed list) the real problem is the Bad service Angelina reserved to us . When we arrived yesterday in biograd we asked to speak with manager ... but he tell to the boy that he don't have any time for us. Nobody asked if everything was good if we had problem ... NOT even if angelina could do something for us given the bad experience. Every year we rent a boat... we live in venice , we have a small boat too ....and it was the first time with Angelina but never, never received this treatment. It is not admissible. Nobody yet checked the motor... and for sure today another family goes on holiday whit Dugi! Is this your business policy? Or do you also care about your customers' satisfaction and safety? We are angry and totally disappointed. We have to write a legal mail.

One of the septic tanks on our boat almost exploded, and we lost an entire day of our holiday to sitting in a harbor dealing with that, additionally our boat smelled like shit for the rest of the trip. Now these things can happen, though it would have helped if the tanks would have been emptied before departure... even worse, when we asked for a refund for the day we lost, they got extremely rude, and asked for compensation for damage to the boat that we did not even cause. make sure to photograph every square centimeter of the boat before leaving, and be prepared for some legal shit if you want your deposit back.

Croatia is beautiful, but charter a yacht somewhere else! We broke one window and were okay with paying for it, but this company (manager) tried to scam us into paying for much more and called us "gypsies"... We will be taking legal action. After two days we had an issue with one of the toilets on board, which made it impossible to flush. The holding tank was on really high pressure, as was the outflow pipe, even though the outflow valve (they did not show us where it was before, we had to google it) had been open the entire time. This means the company did not check or empty this holding tank before our charter. Called the company going out of sibenik, they told us to come to Sibenik Marina, where they would have somebody to guide us. On arrival there was no one, so we docked at the head of the pier to wait. The harbor master showed up 4 times to ask, and eventually warned us that he would charge if they took longer than an hour. The repair took longer than an hour, so we were made to pay, and Angelina refused to reimburse us afterwards. They also added the repair costs to our charter, while the issue was clearly not our fault. "We have never seen a clog this bad", said the technical staff, which cannot be caused by two days of regular use... After the fix, which involved having the toilet and neighboring hallway in 5cm deep of sewage & them dumping it in the harbor, they cleaned the boat with some dish soap, and went on their way. The neighboring bedroom was mine, and it was completely unusable due to the strong sewage smell, even after heavy air freshener (which the technical staff kindly left behind for us). I was forced to sleep outside, and the next day I cleaned it three times with strong soap & air freshener. Then it was barely usable. Afterwards, the company tries to charge us the cleaning costs as well. They are also keeping our deposit to pay for "four broken windows", even though there was only 1 broken window and we have photos to prove it. They refused to show us the photos they made. When we so much as mentioned the idea of them reimbursing us for the harbor docking cost, the manager got outrageously angry, and started calling some of us "gypsies". If you've already booked a charter here, photograph EVERYTHING, inside and out. If they think you're vulnerable, they will try to charge you for everything, even if it is clearly their fault (as their own employees admitted).

Tries to scam you out of your deposit and delivers the boat with a broken toilet. When we got the boat, it seemed mostly fine but after 2 days, the toilet clogged up and the boat smelled like excrement for the rest of the journey. Not pleasant. After some inspection we found the waste tank to be completely full, which clearly shows they didn't clean it out before letting it to us. Disgusting. They even tried to charge us 100 euros for cleaning out the shit they left on board. When returning we informed them about a window that we broke by accident. They jumped on this opportunity to scam us out of the deposit by claiming we broke multiple windows (which weren't even broken and definitely haven't been damaged by us). When we protested against this, they started insulting us. We will be taking legal action against these money-grubbers. Also, some of the life vests were broken, which is totally irresponsible. If you've already booked with them, I highly recommend taking pictures of EVERYTHING before leaving the harbour (including the toilet waste tanks), as they will lie to you and claim they have not made any pictures beforehand.

Do not trust this charter company! tl,dr: Broken toilet, shit smell - for which they tried to charge us. They refused to return the deposit for damage to windows we did not cause. Manager used racial slurs, when we did not go along with their scam. These sharks prey on stupid tourists and abuse their position of power. While the boat appeared okay at first intance, they sent us off with a clogged toilet, which broke after the first day causing the yacht to STINK of FECES all week - not a good holiday experience. Even worse was the experience when we returned the yacht. We told them in good faith about a crack in a window on the front which occurred during our rental. They proceeded to accuse us of breaking another three windows (which, to be clear, we did not). I you still múst use their service, PHOTOGRAPH EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU LEAVE. They pretend to not have photos from before our rental period, even though they photograph everything whenever a boat is rented - make sure you do so yourself! Lastly, when we tried to come to an agreement they were not cooperative at all. The operations manager claimed to know nothing about boats, could not control his temper, got angry, and insulted us for Gypsies. (which, to be clear again, we are not. Besides, even if we were, it is not okay to discriminate in this way.) As it stands, it looks like they are trying to scam us out of the majority of the deposit amount. This all was very unfortunate, because Croatia is a beautiful country, with lovely sailing but this was without doubt, THE WORST RENTAL/CHARTER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Fellow sailors, look for a different charter company, and take care!

We rented a catamaran with them and the whole trip was a nightmare 1. Anchor was too small for the boat 2. Chain was 30 meters long for a 42 footer catamaran and caused us to drift 3 times 3. Dangerous sailing with 4 kids, we had to wake up in the middle of the night multiple times as we were drifting because of the chain and anchor. 4. Plancha non functional had to be replaced 5. Water pump starting out of nowhere in the middle of the night causing us to wake up at 2 am 6. Had to use buoy most of our trip as it was unsafe to anchor without it. 7. Returned the boat early as we did not feel safe The charter company was fully aware of the issues with the anchor and chain and told us to be careful when we contacted them. Said owner did not want to add more chain Avoid entirely if you want a stress free holiday We have been chartering boats for years and never felt so unsafe

I’m writing this review with one clear purpose: To strongly warn anyone considering chartering with Angelina Tours to think twice, not out of principle, but to avoid experiencing what we went through. If you’re hoping for a smooth, well-managed sailing holiday, you should know exactly how bad it can get with Angelina. This vacation made us rethink totally our concept of Croatia and of boat holiday. Please listen to my most sincere advice: avoid chartering from this company, it will ruin your holiday and make you lose time and money. We chartered a 2023 Bali 4.8, paying a high price expecting a high level experience. What we got instead was a long list of failures, unacceptable conditions, scamming and dangerously incompetent service. The facts: 1. 3 out of 5 showers broke. Out of the 3 shower we had for us paying guests (the other 2 where for the crew), 2 were disabled entirely (by cutting the power cables as their team instructed, that because they were not working properly and causing a very loud noise throughout the whole night, making sleep impossible), and the only one left for us guests also broke before the end. Five paying guests. One functioning shower. Enough said. Cabins flooded. Failed shower pumps left standing water sloshing into the cabins, damaging our belongings. 2. Sewage smell in the port hull throughout the trip. They tried to blame us for not opening a valve, but the display said the tank was empty. Then they changed their story and claimed it was showing grey water and not black water (later we discovered, through the user manual, that it was the black water display. So it didn’t work because it was showing empty tanks even though one was leaking because it was too full). It ended up soaking all the cushions with fecal waste, they denied taking care of it (the only solution was to loose at least one more day sailing to Trogir, after we already lost 1 waiting for them to fix the pumps) 3. Gas failure, constant loud noise from the A/C pump, and radio broken for 12 days (making navigation unsafe and illegal), despite notifying them, no one ever came to fix it. The service? Chaotic, unprofessional and always trying to fool us: They ignored our calls, when called for support at late night because we couldn’t sleep they often answered “I’ve not time, I’m trying to sleep”. Additionally, they showed up filming us from a dinghy without consent, demanding we stop the boat in the middle of the sea for repairs (very unsafe and unprofessional), after we’d already waited hours in port for help that never came. When we sailed on to avoid losing another full day, they acted like we were being unreasonable. In the end, shockingly, they even tried to get us to sign a release form at checkout, with the objective to block future complaints. That was crazy they actually tried to make us sign a document (with a stupid excuse) that would have made us unable to pursue further our complaints!! In the end, we disembarked two days early, simply because staying aboard had become unbearable. Angelina will likely respond to this review with denials, excuses, or blame-shifting, as they did throughout the trip. But everything stated here is documented. We were five guests, nothing in this review is hearsay or exaggeration. We’ve been chartering in Croatia for over 30 years and have never experienced a situation like this. And we’ve never had to involve a lawyer in a sailing holiday, until now. If this is how they treat customers on a new, expensive yacht, just imagine what happens on older, cheaper ones. If you want to avoid ruining your holiday like we did, stay far away from this kind of mismanagement. So stay far from Angelina! PS: speaking with several locals during our trip, we were told that Angelina is currently considered one of the worst charter companies operating in the region. Sadly, our experience confirms this entirely.

The introduction of the boat was very inaccurate and we had the feeling that the staff did not know the boat itself exactly. They did not know in which direction the ship's propeller turned and could not answer many of our questions. The power cable was broken and the battery was not charged either. But the worst thing was that the radio didn't work, because when we were in storm we didn't get any warnings. We would definitely not charter there again

This charter should have been a dream trip, but instead turned into a constant struggle with a neglected and malfunctioning yacht. We encountered a long list of technical issues that the charter company seemed to minimize or ignore. First and foremost, the engine alarm for the alternator sounded non-stop whenever we used the motor. It was deafening, stressful, and made motoring unbearable. The technical team tried to fix it twice during the week, but both attempts failed. The forward toilet didn’t flush—even after being serviced mid-week. That’s basic functionality we expected to work on a paid charter. Then there was the step to the saloon, which broke under normal use (during boarding, no one overweight or careless involved). This was reported to the staff right away and instead of acknowledging a maintenance issue, they told us the repair cost was €400 but then said it was “forgiven” if we signed a waiver preventing us from requesting a refund or writing complaints. Completely inappropriate. Both fridges didn’t work properly. Navigation instruments were unreliable or broken. The boat was simply not ready to be chartered, and we paid the price with our time, comfort, and trust. Our skipper did a great job trying to minimize these issues and help us have a nice trip, but the constant maintenance interruptions and waiting at marinas etc. caused a lot of lost time on top of the major issues that couldn't be resolved. We ended up having to skip parts of our itinerary I was really looking forward to. For those reasons I give a one star review.

This was one of the worst charter experiences I’ve had. Our boat looked decent from the outside, but the issues started immediately and kept piling up: 1. Engine alternator alarm screamed non-stop when motoring—impossible to ignore. Two attempted repairs during the trip made no difference. 2. Toilet in the bow cabin never flushed, even after the technician “fixed” it. 3. The step to the saloon broke when stepping on it for the first time. Clearly weakened by age or poor maintenance. Instead of fixing it without question, they estimated a €400 repair and asked us to sign a paper saying we wouldn’t complain or ask for a refund if they waived the charge. 4. The anchor light didn’t work 5. Wind instruments didn’t work 6. The refrigeration system was faulty (one fridge not cooling, the other completely dead). 7. And most frustratingly, the bow cabin was freshly painted just before we boarded, making it unusable for sleeping. One guest got a headache from the smell and spent two nights in the saloon. The boat was not charter-ready, and this company refuses to admit fault. A sailing holiday turned into a week of constant issues and arguments. If you want a holiday and relaxation, stay away from this company.

I rarely write negative reviews, but our experience with Angelina and the boat Star Doris (May 10–17) left us frustrated and disappointed. The boat was handed to us in a state that clearly wasn’t ready or safe for a comfortable sailing week. The engine alternator alarm went off constantly whenever we tried to use the motor. It was loud and nerve-wracking, and despite two service visits during our trip, the problem remained unsolved. The forward toilet never flushed properly, even after attempted repair. The bow cabin had recently been painted, and the strong smell of paint made it unlivable in the front cabins. One of our friends got a headache from it and had to sleep in the saloon. One fridge didn’t work at all and the other fridge’s fan wasn’t working, so it was barely cooling. Wind speed didn’t work. Anchor light didn’t work. When you press the anchor light, the deck light turns on. There was no other way to turn on the anchor light. Quite unsafe. Then, to top it all off, the bottom stair broke in the first hour of use - during embarkation. We reported it straight away to the staff. When we got back from this week of maintenance and service visits (4 in a week) Angelina staff told us it would cost €400 to fix the stair, but then “forgave” the cost to even out all the bad experience we had. They offered us to sign the forgiveness document that would also give up our right to complain or request a refund. We refused to sign it. That kind of pressure was incredibly unprofessional. This company is not maintaining its fleet properly and refuses to take responsibility. Having a boat with all the issues mentioned above at the very start of the season (May) says enough about their business strategy. Angelina charter company ruined what was meant to be a relaxing and joyful sailing holiday. Stay away from Angelina charter and their boats

This time we rented a catamaran Bali 4.5 "Karina V" for a week to sail around nearby islands. -The boat was spacious and, concerning its age, makes very good first impression, but the deeper you look, the more you are going to find. There is black mould in front single cabins for one. -Technically, there were quite a few issues, like broken main door lock, damaged bedside lights and stuck/non-functional bathroom and cabin door locks. -Office check-in/out staff is very polite, professional and patient, thanks to them it's not 2 stars. -Staff responsible for proper technical oversight of the vessel and its cleanliness deserve to be fired. ! Important notice:! Be aware of the deck cushions, we were under the impression that some of them are not properly fixed in order to extort deposits from customers ( and it's 500€ per cushion ). Ours was blown away by a moderate wind ~18kts and the deposit was taken for it.

Very irresponsible approach on the part of the company's management and ship service. Trying to defraud customers and not return the down payment. Ships damaged after unprofessional service, weak antifouling layer. Holes for hoses underwater too large, resulting in leakage into the ships. Deliberate damage to the client and ship owners. who leased their boats to this Angelina Yacht charter and Jadranka d.o.o. they are together today and are a threat to quality yachting on the Adriatic !!!

AVOID ANGELINA AT MARINA VODICE AT ALL COSTS. Technicians and the base manager engage in unethical practices, charging exorbitant fees for faulty equipment. We were billed for old and defective pulleys that broke on the first day at sea, winches dismantling during use, and a Bimini rivet replaced with a screw that promptly came loose. To add insult to injury, we were overcharged for cushions—700€ for three, while the same quality costs 500€ from the same maker. We've had positive experiences with Angelina in Biograd and Sukosan, but Vodice is one to steer clear of !!! And do not expect any help in manoeuvring in the marina. Charter dates: October 30 - November 4, 2023 - LOW SEASON ! Wonder what to expect in high season !

I rented a pretty new dufour 470. The boot check-in was too shallow and unprofessional (the guy didn't know about the boot depth and he didn't show us anything about safety equipments). A part a scarse cleaning of the boat, after the 1st day we discover: -missing support of one side of dining table -missing bulb of table light (and no spare parts) -no marks on anchor chain (they declared marks every 10mt at check-in) -error of 90° on electronic Compass. It means completely wrong route vector and completely wrong calculation of apparent wind, it caused many troubles on orientation and navigation. - wrong indication of real wind direction -allarm of depth indicator ringing suddenly every 1/2 hour indicating 1mt depth in deep sea. We call angelina on wednesday, they came but they didn't fixed any of the problems. It seems to me they have too many boats and poor maintenance. Fotos of the events are available.

Charter company with 30+ sailing yachts. Very professional and friendly team in vodice and Vienna, speaking English, German, Croatian and other languages. The yachts are clean and the mechanical parts are in very good condition. Was my fourth time on one of these yachts and would do it anytime again.
