Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing and ended up ruining the entire holiday. We waited until now to write this review, hoping to receive compensation for the many issues we faced without having to take legal action. We rented a new 2025 Dufour 48 catamaran, Freya, from July 5th to 19th, expecting a perfect trip with friends and family. However, problems began immediately: the watermaker wasn’t working, the generator overheated and shut down after a few minutes, and one of the toilets became unusable due to foul wastewater backing up. Shortly after leaving a port, the steering system also failed. With 30-knot winds, we were forced into difficult manoeuvres and had to secure the boat to an emergency buoy while waiting for technicians. On top of that, the navigation instruments kept shutting off, and the electrical system had repeated breakdowns, creating both safety issues and major discomfort. Technicians from Aquatoria and Dufour came several times, eventually fixing the steering and part of the electrical system, but we lost several days stuck in port. We had to continue the cruise without a watermaker or generator, which meant being forced to stay in marinas much more than planned, with extra costs. They offered us a replacement boat only if we returned to their base, more than 40 miles away—an unrealistic option given our route and scheduled crew changes. At the end of the trip, we received a small refund, far from adequate. Back in Italy, despite the constant support from BeBlue, our charter agency, our attempts to get further answers were ignored. We are now proceeding legally to obtain fair compensation. Beyond the financial aspect, the biggest disappointment is not having enjoyed the holiday we had planned. I will provide updates as things progress, especially since this company has a good reputation in Croatia, and we hope to trust them again in the future. An experience I’ll never forget! The Aquatoria Yachting team went above and beyond — the yachts were top-notch: spotless, well-maintained, and ready to sail. You can tell it’s a family-run business, and that personal touch really came through in every interaction. We had an incredible journey exploring the Croatian islands, all thanks to our instructor (and now a good friend), Yury — the heart and soul of Aquatoria — and his wonderful wife, Galina. They made us feel welcome from the very start. Under Yury’s thoughtful and professional guidance, I earned my Bareboat Skipper license. His approach to teaching was calm, clear, and truly supportive. I’m already looking forward to coming back and continuing this amazing sailing adventure!

Just finished two weeks charter with Aquatoria, during which I changed two boats, one week on each - Elan Impression 45 and Elan E4. Very positively impressed with both boats, their performance, equipment and condition. The second impression is a high level of service and a sensitive attitude of the charter company to my needs. Thanks to all the staff for the excellent work and positive atmosphere at the base. A few words about the marina and water area. This is a small and cozy yacht port, clean, with all services and a beautiful location in the center of the small town of Pirovac. Everything you need is within minutes. The bay of Pirovac is large and closed, providing excellent wind with a minimum of waves, which will please fans of sailing, given the presence of very sporty boats in the Aquatoria charter. The geographical position gives access to all interesting places in the region, and allows you to make an interesting and rich route without "intermediate" stops. I definitely recommend this charter company and marina Pirovac 🤜🤛 P.S. The more sporty boats of the charter company are on the outer pontoon, which can be slightly difficult to moor in strong winds. However, a competent arrangement of boats and the presence of transverse pontoons on the inside makes the task easier, cruise boats are “deeper” in the marina, and less confident skippers can wait on a very long guest pontoon, moored alongside. After all, if we take a more sporty boat, then it is assumed that we know how to handle it, right? 😏
