We chartered the boat Reef, firstly what worked: Engine started each time, but it is materially underpowered. Auto pilot Cooker worked It did not leak. However virtually everything else was broken, dangerous or completely worn out. The hull was filthy and had barnacles. The Genoa reefing system does not work , the main had a torn batton pocket making it virtually useless. In my view this boat is dangerous and should not be out for charter.

The boat itself was in excellent condition, it was clean, efficient, and somewhat equipped. We appreciated the minimal fuel usage and a few essentials like trash bags. Ramon, who handled our check-in and check-out, was a bright spot in the whole experience. He was friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful when troubleshooting our speaker system which failed repeatedly. Unfortunately, BeCharter’s service was far below expectations. Communication was slow and inaccurate. I had to chase answers, received conflicting payment info, and was later told the listed price was a “mistake” and asked to pay double. On departure day, the water scooter we booked wasn’t available, and 3 beds were missing sheets. For the price we paid, these are basic service failures that speak to a lack of care and attention to detail. While the boat was great and Ramon saved the experience from being a total letdown, I would not rent from BeCharter again.

Great boat / great price / good customer service I booked the Beneteau REEF, but the day before the trip, Amanda assigned me the Beneteau IBIZA. Due to incomplete registration documents. To the same price, including the comfort package. Although the boat is larger and better equipped, I had my doubts based on the reviews of the IBIZA. Unjustified. No smell or other electrical problems. During the trip, I lost a shackle on the furling sail at the gooseneck. I called Alfonso, and he drove immediately to the nearest harbor with the shackle. The handover also went smoothly. I will book with Becharter Boats again.

A very poor boat, poorly maintained and to be frank dangerous. Our original boat had an engine issue so we were upgraded to a larger 38. There were multiple issues with this. I was stuck in the toilet as the handle came off. Funny I know, but not when you are at sea and your wife cannot hear you. The fridge door came off and landed on my foot and broke my little toe. The boat was dirty and tatty all round, items missing/broken. We gave the boat back on the second day and it took 10 days to get part of our money back. Spent £2600 received back £1500. A very poorly run company, DO NOT USE. If I could provide a zero star, I definitely would.

We had a great time with BeCharter. The boats are clean and in good shape, especially considering we were there at the very end of the season. The booking and check in and check out was very flexible and quick and we were able to ask any questions that came up. We would recommend leaving some tools (e.g. screwdriver) and other items, such as more ropes, etc. on board. Pablo is very helpful and responds with incredible speed (even during the holidays) to all requests. Thank you, we will be back!
