We chartered a catamaran with Spartivento and, regarding the boat itself, the experience was excellent: the vessel was in perfect condition, everything worked smoothly and was well maintained, except for some issues with the tender. The company’s service and assistance were also very good – professional and attentive at all times. I’m not giving 5 stars only because of the skipper assigned to us. He sailed very little, usually stopping at just one bay per island without giving us a proper coastal tour. This limited our chance to discover the beaches and coves from the sea. In the end, we explored more by land than by sailing. Overall: the company and the boat were impeccable; the skipper selection, in our case, was disappointing.

From booking to return, the Spartivento team was impeccable. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer my questions. The boat was in perfect condition, and departing from Marina Cala dé Medici allowed us to discover Elba and Capraia in just a few days. An unforgettable vacation!

Large catamarans and yatchs are rented to youngsters, often without a professional skipper on board, and they wreak havoc in the anchorages around the Aeolian Islands. Last night a fleet of at least 5 arrived at 1am at Cala Zimmari in Panarea and tried to drop anchor in the dark in a packed area, bumping against other yatchs. This afternoon the same yatchs and 4 more arrived in Porticello, Lipari, and set up a rave in the evening, with stacks of loudspeakers, mixers and a DJ cheering the crowd with a microphone. He also told them to meet up again tomorrow at Grotta del Cavallo, Vulcano. In the video, the DJ was asking all the dancers not to stay and jump on 1 catamaran only, as it would sink. Is this safety and respect at sea?

It was our second charter with Spartivento. This time we chartered a Catermaran Bali 42 and it was a pleasure! Inga from the Spartivento base in Capo D'Orlando helped us with EVERYTHING and gave us tips. Everything was wonderful ... from the boat charter, paperwork, communication to the grocery shopping. The boat unfortunately had a few quirks, but our skipper Demetrio Z. ironed out every little mistake with his endearing and competent manner. We sailed around the Aeolian Islands 🌋with him ⛵️ It was as if this part of the sea was his living room... he told us something about every island, gave us tips, recommended restaurants, took us to the most beautiful bays and the best thing was: he laughed with us and no question was too much for him!!! Bravo✨ Demetrio made our tour a lifetime experience 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thank you for everything! You are a great person ✨ It's a beautiful place on Earth, the Aeilisn Islands… we'd love to come back! 🏝️

I would like to warn you about this company. Our crew was in danger of death due to the poor technical condition of the ship. We tried to reach a solution with the charter company, but to no avail. So here are the points that we would like to discuss with you. 1. In the proposals of Booking-manager.com, Furling Genoa was mentioned in the specification. The boat actually had a self-tacking jib. If we had this information, we would not have rented the boat. So we legitimately demanded a discount on the boat rental, as we received incorrect information. 2. The ship was in a very bad condition. The ship smelled strongly from the waste tank. This smell accompanied us all week. At check-in, the bow-thruster was not working, and just before sailing, the we noticed that the engine compartment smelled like burning electrical wiring. We discovered a burning alternator. The technician replaced the alternator and the bow thruster started working for a while. During the voyage, the bow thruster became inoperable again and could not be used until the end of the voyage. 3. On the second day of the cruise, on Monday, during the cruise from Corsica to Elba, the engine stopped working. We replaced the fuel filter and consulted with charter company's technician for further steps. In the intervals during which the engine worked, we managed to sail to Marina di Campo, where we waited until the next day for a visit from the local technician. After attempting to repair the fuel supply, the engineer discovered that it was a malfunction in the ship's cockpit panel. So we waited until the next day (Wednesday) when the panel was replaced and we could continue sailing. For more than a day and a half, we could not use the ship according to our plan. So we claimed a deduction from the charter boat. 4. However, the most serious and life-threatening moment occurred in Merciana Marina. The ship's service batteries were in very poor condition. When the ship was disconnected from shore electricity, the refrigerator worked for a few hours at most. During the night when the we were connected to electricity in the marina, two batteries burned out. The gas that escaped during this is very dangerous and causes damage to the sense of smell, which leads to the fact that a person does not perceive the smell and thus the danger that this gas represents. Thanks to a lucky coincidence, we identified the defect and dismantled the batteries. However, their condition had to be known to the technician before setting sail and they should have been replaced. We considers this to be a great threat to health and life, caused by insufficient servicing of the ship. As I mentioned, we tried to solve everything already in Base with manager. Unfortunately, he was drunk and trivialized everything and was not willing to solve problems. Unfortunately, the company's management also had the same approach.

Terrible experience, look for another charter company. We're a group of friends, every summer we spend a week on a boat, this year we relied on Spartivento in Olbia, a terrible experience. First of all, it's like contacting a ministry, a public office; no one really listens to you, and if you have any problems or needs, you're left alone, a kind of sailing assembly line. The boat was beautiful, comfortable, and expensive, with 4 cabins, 3 bathrooms, camping kitchen equipment, damaged pans, only one bowl for 10 people, you put a salad on it and had to eat the rest in pots, a broken corkscrew, 1 knife, and 1 mini board for cutting and cooking for 10 people. It would really take very little, but €30 at Ikea would solve the problem, given the rental cost. In the kitchen, there are two burners, one unusable, giving off a very strong gas smell and a tall, black flame. The aft bathroom didn't work, it wouldn't flush the toilet. The coffee machine didn't work, the door handles fell off every time you arrived or closed them... and I could go on... In all this, obviously you have 5 days of sailing (even if it seems like a week but it's 5 days), you're in the middle of the sea, you call, you report the problems... but in the end you've paid, you have those few days left that you paid so dearly for, you can't go back and change boats, so you continue, trying not to ruin your vacation, and they know this and take advantage of it. The skipper who's supposed to help you washes his hands of it, he says he has nothing to do with it... The skipper they gave us, forget it... a disaster... Really, look for another company to rent a boat, it's true, they have lots of boats, but the management is terrible.

Base manager of Spartivento in Marina di Cala de' Medici making a good first impression in fact, he is a person who completely does not understand what seems to be the basic issue of yacht chartering. The Lagoon 42 (2020) "Gelsomino" catamaran was practically unprepared for charter on the day and time of its start, starting with the absurd check-in time, which was in the evening (7:00-7:30 p.m.). The yacht should be delivered by 17:00 according to the provisions of the charter agreement. Especially in the evening, it is impossible to check the external parts of the yacht (especially the hull) and sails. The catamaran's generator that "Gelsomino" should have been equipped with did not work, and the answer I received from base manager as a justification for its damage was laconic. During check-in, I was forced to ask for a repair - replacing the stakes for the yacht's stove. There were no basic kitchen utensils (cutlery, bowls, kettle, pots) that should have been available on the yacht during check-in. The biggest surprise, however, was the check-out when the base manager, trying to solve the issue of the unrepaired generator, tried to extort me for EUR 230 for "damage" that was caused by the faulty operation of the power inverter on the Gelsomino catamaran. The inverter itself on this catamaran can only be turned on or off from the fuse, which somehow replaces the actual on/off button on the panel. Unfortunately, Spartivento employees did not repair this button, indirectly forcing me to use the fuse, which broke after prolonged use. The base manager, trying to find a compromise for the lack of a generator, tried to find "deal", or in his opinion, a compromise so that I wouldn't have to pay the 230 euros for replacing this fuse. Everything would be more understandable to me if it weren't for the fact that I bought insurance from Spartivento (seciurity deposit cancellation) - "SailSafe", which protected me against the possibility of unjustified extortion of such an amount from me. To summarize. Spartivento employees, despite one person (a young employee who speaks English well, whose name I don't remember), behave sluggishly and unprofessionally, and the head of the base himself is a person who completely does not understand the customer's point of view and needs. Well here we rented out yacht, we came when there was a queue and waited for an hour, hence, this office had a good air conditioner and they offered drinks and snacks for free so we didn't have any problem to wait. Luckily we had any issue with yacht - all was working, clean and well equipped. Recommend

One week sailing with a brand new Oceania 38.1 Lovely experience! Boat in perfect condition. Above all, the personnel was really outstandingly kind and competent - special thanks to Claudio at the dock and Julia from the office.

Overall, a good experience. The boat was beautiful, tidy, and performed well. Cleanliness was adequate. Some amenities could be improved. The base staff were very welcoming and available to accommodate our every request and intervene if needed.

We chartered a boat in August 2022 from the port of Salerno. Unfortunately, our experience was not positive with the team on board and with the handling of our case, which was subsequently entrusted to Spartivento's lawyer. We will not use this charter again, nor will we recommend it! This was my third experience with them, and both times the experience was not up to par with the price paid. I recommend other charters.

From September 10-17, 2022, we toured the Aeolian Islands as a group on the Lagoon 42 catamaran. Our experience was undoubtedly positive. The service and comfort were excellent, not to mention the professionalism, helpfulness, and friendliness demonstrated by skipper Lillo, who exceeded our expectations. Bravo!!! Thank you!

We rented a boat in August, excellent organization, Manfredi the base manager and his team, very kind and professional. The base of CALA DEI MEDICI is very convenient as a starting point. I gave 4 stars because the boat, among other things new (oceanis 51.1 of 2022) is supplied with bottles of water and boxes of sponsored shampoo, in my opinion useless and lacks the minimum necessary to keep the boat clean, such as rags sponges and above all a small vacuum cleaner.

In early July 2022 I rented a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 51.9 at the Trapani base. Nice boat for charter. Despite this I must point out that the cleanliness of the boat was absolutely not up to the offer. We found used tissues in the cabin beds, dirty toilet paper in the bathroom bins, very superficial cleaning of the internal surfaces. The unusable berth cushions At the time of check in I reported that the gas cylinder connected was almost empty and that the tender's petrol tank was completely empty. They did not consider it necessary to replace the cylinder or provide us with a full tank (5 liters!) of petrol. We were only able to make a coffee and then replace the cylinder. We were only able to use the tender after refueling two days later in a port, since at the time of delivery the distributor was already closed. Regarding the boat, technically nothing to report with equipment ok. As already suggested to the brokerage agency, I recommend paying more attention to the details that ultimately make the difference.

We‘re a crew of 10 guys renting boats for more then 20 years, once a year, every year! Our boat, a Bennetau Oceanis is 51.1 was the best equipped boat we ever rented. Air con, dishwasher, microwave, electric winches, electric toilets, etc, etc. what a great boat… The charter base was also the best experience in 20 years. Inga, Simona and their team did a highly professional job, a great customer experience!!!! Simona, thanks to you and your team!
