We had a great time with The Moorings. We chartered a 42 ft cat for our family of 4. This was our 1st time chartering a boat so we were a little nervous. The Moorings treated us really well and our captain, Stephon, was absolutely brilliant. He had loads of local knowledge and was great with our family. I would highly recommend chartering with them.

We had a fabulous time on our Moorings 45 ft. sailing catamaran. What a great family vacation! This location offers myriad places to visit. Our Christmas Day included a beach BBQ in the Tobago Cays. Hard to top that one. The Moorings staff was wonderful. Thank to all who made this memorable.

My husband, daughter/boyfriend and I spent a week on a Crewed Moorings Charter on 5000 Catamaran. We sailied visiting islands off the coast of Croatia. It was relaxing but and one of the most enjoyable weeks. The sail was a unique way to visit the Dalmation coast, and each place we went was beautiful, historical; we met kind people and ate amazing food. The Captain, Deni, and the 1st Mate/Chef, Alex, were fantastic I would sail again next month if someone would promise me it would be with them.

Outstanding vacation, thanks to Moorings Corfu and due in large part to our captain, Orlando. He chose the BEST swimming locations and made sure our ride was smooth. He also was extremely helpful in describing our options and in selecting restaurants. Our boat was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed in the cabin was perfect, and the boat had lots of great “hanging out” spots. Simply fantastic.

We rented a 42 catamaran with 4 cabins. Very little sailing was done as we did not have the proper wind conditions and preferred to get to our destinations faster. We had a skipper on board named Orlando, he was great and offer lot's of advise, his local knowledge of the area was most useful and we are very glad we did have him on board. Paxos and AntiPaxos are the top areas in beauty, the water is so clear and the colors amazing. Locals are friendly, the food is great. Overall a good value for the money paid with the Moorings and everywhere in Greece (except for Taxis !)

We had such a wonderful 7-day catamaran charter! Dino, our captain, was incredibly thoughtful, choosing each of our stops - with amazing restaurant suggestions and even spending time to teach us about the history and people of Croatia as we toured different islands.

We chartered one of their large cats with captain and cook. Thanks to Dean and Elena, we had a great time. They really went out of their way to compensate for the poor cleanliness of the boat (smelly beds, dirty bed sheets with holes in linen) and rubbish pillows not mentioning the general bad smell on the boat. I am surprised that the Moorings is associated with Sailitalia. Maybe they should check more regularly to see if Sailitalia has the same standards in terms of cleanliness of the boat (inside and outside), as well as food quality and alcohol quality. I wonder why we were asked to fill out food and beverage preferences. This wasn't communicated to our cook. Thanks goodness Elena called all the guests a few days before our departure to check on their preferences. She spent a lot of time and effort to do the adequate grocery shopping prior to departure and during the cruise. Lastly, the air conditioning wasn't really working; it was just blowing dust. We had a good time because we are always happy on the water but standards at this location seem below average. I am not sure we will rent a boat there again without better quality food and drinks.

We have sailed with the Moorings and Sunsail many times. We’ve been to Tahiti, Belize, Bahamas and British Virgin Islands. Never had a problem until this cruise. We couldn’t get checked out on our boat until day two. Not a great start. We were allowed to sleep aboard and we provisioned for our trip the first day. After dinner on day two we returned to find the boat infested with bug. Note pictures. We called base and thankfully they arranged lodging after we refused spraying with insecticide. One of our crew has lung disease. We were given minutes to pack up and vacate the boat. Still waiting for a reply. Third day we sere given a second boat for the rest of our cruise. These water bottles didn’t make the transfer of provisions which created some problems for us. Worse this vessel was smaller than what we had and very worn. The upholstery on deck cushions were torn and thanks to nearly daily rainfall were soaking wet. We have contacted customer service and were offered $900 in future cruise credit. We are 82 & 78 respectively. We won’t use this credit. Again l contacted customer service and requested a cash refund or at least the credit be transferred to our son and co-captain who hopefully will sail again. We have been home for almost a week. We are still recovering physically from this ordeal. Two stars because Antigua was beautiful. We ate most of our dinners ashore in beautiful resorts and were treated well and kindly. The people of Antigua were lovely our experience not so much!

Our second experience chartering with Moorings. They are a top notch company. We had a 42 foot catamaran in Corfu. Boat was beautiful and completely outfitted. They went out of their way to inform us of concerning weather conditions. We had a great time and will charter with them again.

My wife and I along with her sister and family thoroughly enjoyed our one week experience on the Moorings 42’ sailing catamaran. Everything from initial requests for information to the final debrief at the end of our experience was professional, timely, thorough, and helpful. The boat was perfect for our 5 person crew. One of the staterooms was used as the luggage storage. Our party was spending two to four weeks in Greece so we carried more luggage than needed for a one week cruise. The boat was presented in immaculate state, the briefs were meaningful. The sailing guide happened to be the same one I bought so it was very familiar to me. The catamaran offered many more luxuries than a single hull which were appreciated especially during the two days we were docked on Gaios without shore ties due to inclement weather. The help from the entire staff was greatly appreciated and made our first sailing adventure in Greece memorable.

We spent the second week of September 2024 on a Moorings 4500 catamaran with 3 other couples/friends whom we have done several sailing trips with and Skipper Karlo (Although we have sailing skills in our group, sailing in the Med and Adriatic, with unique docking procedures and language barriers for us, a captain is basically required). Most of the trip would have rated 5 stars with one exception. I will separate this review into sections: The Area Croatia is a hidden gem of a place to sail cruise! Our weather was pleasant (with rain a couple of days, but so what?) The towns were charming, people very friendly, it's a safe environment, and the islands were great to cruise around and explore. We found great restaurants, places to swim and snorkle in crystal clear water, and a truly relaxing experience. For hard-core sailors who want to actually sail, consider a monohull but for those looking for relaxation, a cat cannot be beat! Captain Karlo Karlo did a great job in getting us around to super anchorages and docks at small island towns! He is a pleasant young guy who knows the area and his job and did everything he could to find us great restaurants, interesting things to do, and apologized for the little rain we had (as if it was his fault!) The Moorings Agana The boat we had was clean, available early, and for the most part, fine - with one major problem. One of the heads on the starboard side consistently leaked brown liquid into the bowl of the toilet and the people on that side had a constant aroma. Karlo called as soon as it was reported to him but the mechanic and customer service agent he spoke to dropped the ball and it took several days to dispatch a tech team. They looked at it, did something, and proclaimed it fixed, but the problem returned a day later at the end of the week. The response from the Moorings office was lackluster and as one can imagine, dampened the week for the entire group. With a better response from the Moorings, I would have awarded 5 stars, but given the situation, 3 is all I could provide.

A highly professional company. The boat was exactly as described; clean and fully operational. Before the trip we had a in-depth discussion with the Director of Operations about where we could go on our trip and he provided helpful insight about the different areas (activities, water clarity etc). Our captain was professional, friendly and helpful. Each evening he would pull out the chart and review the plan for the following day which included weather and travel times. He was very flexible with trip adjustments. We couldn't have asked for a better captain.

Our family of five visited Antigua in mid June for a "bucket list" trip to sail around the island in a 45-foot cat. I had been dreaming of doing a trip like this for 15 years after first hearing about these charters in the BVI. The first thing I can say is that it totally exceeded my expectations and none of my concerns turned out to be that real. First, the boat was awesome. It was roomy enough for us and the skipper, Kishawn Harrigan, who was amazing. We really got lucky with him. The air-conditioned cabins were roomy and there was plenty of room for all of us. There were a few little things that needed to be worked out with the boat, which was why having a really experienced skipper like Kishawn was super important. I can sail, but I would have been in trouble without his knowledge of the boat. That said, the boat was great and was in good condition. Then there was the trip itself. Antigua is incredible. We went to about 8 different beaches, a bunch of amazing snorkeling spots, a mountain top party, hiking up to ruins, tromping through town and eating roti. My son caught a bunch of fish off the back of the boat (thanks Kishawn for cleaning the big one). There is a set exchange rate with USD, which makes it easy to use both currencies, though obviously EC dollars are preferred. We had a wonderful time and I am truly sad it's over. I have a few tips for those going the first time. Tip 1: Bring a suitcase of dry goods and snacks. This will save you a lot of money and time. You should stop near the airport or at a big grocery on the way to English Harbour. The grocery near the dock is small and very expensive. There is a good grocery in Jolly Harbour as well. Tip 2: Buy a lot of water - like 8 of the big containers - or maybe bring a Britta pitcher to filter the tap water. Our skipper didn't drink the tap water from the boat, which made us hesitant.

All went great. It was only the second time out for the boat as it was new and may have been why we didn’t have a cord for shore power. Contacted them and they had a cord there by the end of the day. We had a little Communications issue and we thought we had to re-fuel the boat like we have in the past for other rental agencies. Spent a little time at the fueling dock to find out we didn’t need to fuel before returning. That’s actually great. Just lost a little time next Waiting at the fuel dock. Great boat and great service.

The Moorings 46.3 monohull is a high tech boat. Three sources of power (shoreline, inverter, generator) with a touchscreen control panel to enable one at a time via remotely operated changeover switches in the stern. The boat orientation missed some aspects of the touchscreen control. Base manager Brittany’s commitment to her clients allowed a quick WhatsApp video conference to quickly solve the issue while we were at anchor. Of course the boat was spotlessly clean upon our arrival and sailed very well as expected. Unfortunately, Brittany couldn’t control the weather and our vacation had at least 3 days of wind from the west making most Antigua anchorages rolly. This very unusual weather pattern produced lots of rain. The locals were happy as their cisterns filled but not ideal vacation weather. The last 2 days of our charter had normal weather with 12-20 knots of wind from the northeast resulting in fantastic sailing days more typical of the area. Every staff member at Moorings Antigua seemed to love their jobs and it showed! In fact, this seemed typical of all the businesses we visited during our stay on Antigua making it a pleasant place to visit.

We used Moorings Antigua charters for a 6 night bareboat charter of a catamaran and had a lovely holiday. Moorings was responsive and addressed a couple of issues (generator challenges) throughout our stay and provided detailed recommendations for exploring the island. We enjoyed seeing Antigua by boat and would recommend this to anyone interested in seeing a little bit of everything from the island. The staff was professional and friendly at Moorings and the boat was well kept overall.

We spent 10 days on a 50 foot power Cat exploring around the islands outside of Phuket. We hired a Captain and a chef and searched for crystal blue waters and quiet mooring spots. Our favorite place that we ended up going back to twice was Koh Rok Nok. This stunning and super secluded space was located about 4 hours south of Phuket and truly had the most stunning water, powder white sand and color reef we have seen since our trip to Belize. This area also had a beach where we saw Komodo Dragons. It was magical. Exploring Thailand by boat was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Moorings was very responsive and helpful with arranging our trip for us and helping us find a captain and chef. Our boat was a few years old and at the end of its charter life so it had a few things that needed to be replaced and updated but the new boats were beautiful and we will definitely use this company again in the future

One week crewed charter on a Moorings 5000 catamaran is a magnificent experience. The Dalmation coast is a wonder of beauty and history, part of the cradle of western civilization. Each island has hundreds of coves to explore. Each village has its own wines and olive oils, which have been growing for centuries and are not available in your grocery store at home. Castles, villas, Greek ruins, Roman ruins and hiking trails abound. Crystal clear water and breezy sailing afternoons make for a fascinating and enjoyable trip. The captain and chef were amazing. Just do it!

Boats NOT up to standards. I have chartered boats with The Moorings all over the world and this boat should not have been allowed out. It broke down on us 4 times during the one week we had the catamaran. The wiring was corroded and held together with tape. Each time we had to wait for the mechanic, it severely, negatively affected our trip. The boat was infested with roaches. The roaches were big, small, night time crawlers and even ran around in the middle of the day. When we notified The Moorings staff, they said they sprayed the other boats, but no one informed them that the boat they were giving to us was also infected with roaches. They said they would exterminate the boat after we turned it in, which did us no good. The Moorings started our trip off horribly, in that we had to wait 2 hours for them to pick us up at the airport, even after we called 5 times and they kept saying "be there in 15 minutes". The boat staff were wonderful and had excellent customer service skills. The office staff don't follow through and complete tasks. Because of my long history with the Moorings, I know this is an anomaly, so I would use The Moorings as a company, but never again in Seychelles.
