This was our 4th bareboat charter. Waypoints was A++ from the booking process all the way through disembarkation at the end. Easy to book, fantastic communication, provisioning assistance, the Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 was in boatshow condition, the briefings were excellent, all of our questions were answered, and we enjoyed a fantastic experience with this company in the BVI. The team, the boats, the location - left nothing to be desired. Highly recommend!

Outstanding charter service with new boats for all tastes. We chartered a Dufour 530 very well equipped. It was super comfortable, sailed really well and the WayPoints team, kudos to Anthony and his outstanding team, was very attentive to the detail. We will definitely charter with WayPoints in the near future.

From start to finish, our experience with Waypoints in Nanny Cay was amazing and better than I could have ever anticipated. Whats sets them apart from the big charter companies is the one on one service and their willingness to do whatever is necessary to help you with your trip. Also, the Nanny Cay Marina was wonderful and next time I will spend an extra day there to relax before heading home. I can not give Waypoints BVI a higher recommendation and I can't wait until we can go there again!!!

Best catamaran rental experience I have ever experienced in the USVI and BVI. Done this trip 3 times in my lifetime and this bu fae was the best experience. Starting with there portal where you can see everything about your booking, then the Marina when you arrive has everything you need from clean showers to places to eat nearby. The catamaran was in excellent condition and clean with fully equipped kitchen and navigation essential to staying days on the water comfortably. We did 10 days without any issues, everything on the boat is top quality and efficient. Can’t wait to go back. Be sure to ask any questions that you have, this company will treat you like family.

We just finished our first bareboat charter with Waypoints in USVI. What an excellent group, professional, friendly, helpful and most importantly well maintained boat! We were on a 4 year old Fountaine Pajout Elba 45. Everything worked. Last oil change marked on the engines, water maker, generator, ice maker all performed perfectly. Also fun to sail massive mainsail ( compared to the Bali we chartered last year with another company) Also great briefing before taking off and the most thorough post charter checkout I have experienced( eg raising all sails to check for damage) if I had a boat in a charter program they would be my choice. Thanks again from captain Bye and his most excellent crew, we had a great time!

We recently enjoyed a 10-day charter in the USVI. We sailed May 20-30, 2025. It took a few weeks to write this review because we were only home for a few days before we flew to Bermuda and sailed a boat back to Norfolk. That took a week+ and we have been slow readjusting to life back on land. We have chartered with Waypoints many times, mostly in St. Petersburg. We have come to expect high standards and great service. This trip did not disappoint. From the first contact with their booking agent until the time we loaded up the taxi that they arranged to get us back to the airport, it was apparent that they employ great people who enjoy and take pride in what they do. We love Waypoints for their meticulously maintained boats with high end features that are not found on boats in the typical charter fleet. We like spacious cabins and ample storage space. We don’t like packing as many people as possible on board in cramped conditions. We like in-mast furling, electric winches, gas BBQ grills, ample refrigeration, and the other creature comforts that turn a camping trip on a boat into relaxing yacht charter. We appreciate the attention to detail that their maintenance and dock crews display. While we still got off the dock an hour ahead of what I anticipated, we waited a few extra minutes because the dinghy motor was idling too low and needed to be adjusted. I would much rather take a few minutes to make sure that everything is right rather than being rushed off the dock and left to fend for ourselves. We did have one minor equipment issue while on the trip. The propane solenoid failed in the closed position, leaving us without propane for the stove or grill. As anyone who has sailed knows, if this is all that breaks during a 10-day trip, life is good. I follow the old sailor adage that everything on your boat is broken, you just don’t know it yet. What impressed me about this experience was the service provided in making the repair. A technician met us in Red Hook at 8:30 am, a time of my choosing. This saved us from sailing back to Frenchtown Marina and nearly eliminated any impact on our intended itinerary. Not only did the technician come to a location that was convenient for us at a time of our choosing, he completed the repair in a matter of minutes, and was cheerful (more than I would be starting work early and on the opposite end of the island). This would have been more than enough by any standards. However, he wasn’t finished yet. One of our guests forgot to get a pair of snorkel fins before we left the base. The technician brought along a pair of fins for her. This level of service has become standard for Waypoints. At this point it should not surprise me, but it still does. I could go on but I will limit my comments to the coordination with other service providers that may be of interest to potential customers. The assistance that I received from the charter base with coordinating provisioning and dive gear rental was phenomenal. We placed a large provisioning order with Time Saver VI. We arrived at the base early to find all of the items already aboard, unpacked, and stowed. The level of care with which this was done was unexpected. After a long travel day, I can’t relay the pleasure of cracking open a nice iced down beverage as opposed to making our way to the grocery store. Additionally, while we brought our own dive gear, we rented tanks, tank racks, and weights from Admiralty Dive Center. Again, when we arrived early, we found all of the gear had been delivered to the boat. back to my earlier comment, nothing would have ruined my iced down beverage quite like hauling dive tanks and weights down the dock. Lastly, when we arrived home and found a postcard from the charter base waiting for us. It made us smile…nice touch. I thank Waypoints for all that they do. I am sure that we only see a fraction of the work that goes into running a charter company at this level of service. We are thankful that we found Waypoints and look forward to our next visit.

We just returned from a week sailing the USVI on an FP 45 Elba, USS Flamingo, and we cannot say enough nice things about the company. The sailing trip went flawlessly and we did not experience single issue with our sailboat for the duration of the trip. The things that set the trip apart in my mind was the fact that we were on the boat sailing on Saturday, our check in was about an 1 1/2 hours, provisions delivered and stocked, and then by 3 PM, we set sail to Buck Island and had the place to ourselves. Sailing in early June was nice since there were no crowds, and we had some of the most amazing beaches to ourselves. After arriving in Cinnamon Bay on St Johns, one of the most scenic bays and beaches, we were the only ship around. The winds were blowing but the water was flat, and for two days and nights we were swimming with turtles and rays all by ourselves. Other highlights would be swimming and hiking around Mingo Cay, Salt Pond Bay and Little Lameshur. Our kids called Salt Pond Bay, Turtle Bay, since we would swim by 5 or 6 turtles to get to the beach and they just sat under you eating grass without a worry. Anyways, I have chartered boats in the US, the Sea of Cortez, Bahamas and French Polynesia and have never had such a seamless, eventless experience. Waypoints is doing it right. I'm glad that Captain Vinny Mattiola with Cetosea referred us to them.

We have chartered twice with Waypoints. On our first trip, day 3 we pulled into Nanny cay to explore the area, eat and get a few supplies. The waypoint team here was absolutely delightful, even though we chartered out of St. Thomas. They treated us like family! They were very helpful with basic information plus I wanted something minor. I can’t remember now a bucket or an extra line something relatively minor, but nonetheless, it was important to me and they were happy to oblige. We love this company! By the way, we have charted with all of the major companies around the BVI and beyond…. Over the last 15 years. ..Waypoints, excels at making the customers experience amazing! Oh, did I mention both boats we’ve chartered from them were well maintained and very clean! Not to mention the ACs were so cold you could hang meat in the cabins! Love that!!

We chartered "Fiyolo", a FP Elba 45 catamaran last week in the USVI . The yacht was lovely, spacious and everything functioned perfectly. Captain Larry is a docking guru.. The staff at Waypoints were great and checked us in and out quickly and effortlessly . Our favorite stop was Lavongo Cay. .The restaurant there was unbelievable. We celebrated our 42nd anniversary there and they comped us a dessert. Photos attached, one original and one doctored, my brother loves photoshop. We also stopped in Little Lameshur Bay and had the bay to ourselves. Nice hike out to the point between the two bays and good snorkeling. I would recommend Waypoints Yacht Charters . This was my third time chartering with this company. R.F. New Jersey

I cannot recommend Waypoints Yacht Charters in the British Virgin Islands highly enough! Our sailing adventure was truly exceptional, and the outstanding service provided by their team played a significant role in making it all happen. From the outset, Chelsea was an absolute gem during our booking process. She was incredibly helpful and thorough, making sure we had all the information we needed to select the perfect yacht for our trip. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor set the tone for what would become an unforgettable journey. We were fortunate to have Chef Kennetha join us as part of our crew. She prepared delicious meals that were not only satisfying but also beautifully presented. Kennetha's culinary skills added a special touch to our charter experience and made every meal a delight! Upon our arrival in the BVI, we were greeted by Kimmy and Sayula at the Waypoints office. Their warm welcome and expertise made check-in a breeze, and they provided us with fantastic recommendations for our itinerary. They were genuinely eager to ensure we had the best experience possible. A special shoutout to Stefon, who conducted our thorough boat briefing. He meticulously reviewed all aspects of the catamaran, ensuring we felt confident before setting sail. When an issue arose during our charter, Stefon was quick to assist us, demonstrating his commitment to outstanding service. His knowledge and support made all the difference. Throughout our trip, Anthony was readily available to answer any questions and provide assistance, further enhancing our overall experience. His approachability and expertise helped us navigate the beautiful waters of the BVI with ease. The catamaran itself was in pristine condition and provided us with ample space for relaxation and socializing. Each stop along our itinerary—from the breathtaking Baths to the snorkeling at Monkey Point, the Indians, and the Caves—was a highlight that created lasting memories. Overall, our experience with Waypoints Yacht Charters exceeded all expectations. The professionalism of the team, combined with stunning surroundings and a fantastic itinerary, made for an unforgettable sailing adventure. We can't wait to return to the BVI and set sail with Waypoints again! Thank you to everyone at Waypoints for making our trip so special!

Waypoints was the best charter company I have sailed with. The boats at the Waypoints BVI charter base were in excellent condition, both from a mechanical and cleanliness standpoint. The check in and out processes were quick and efficient. Even the lazarette's were spotless and well organized. I've sailed with many different charter companies around the world and this team hit it out of the park.

We just finished our first charter with Waypoints out of Tortola BVI. After a slight issue securing a skipper, the crew working at Waypoints BVI went far beyond our expectations and made our trip a wonderful experience. They have a Top Notch Crew working here. The sailboats are very clean and well maintained. A special thanks to: Anthony Rameshar, Sayula Everard, and Kimmy Cook for giving 150% ! You made our trip most enjoyable and it was greatly appreciated! We'll be back!

Just had our second trip with Waypoints and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The office rep, Kimmy, was super helpful and always responsive to my million questions. Anthony was great and helped with a couple minor inconveniences. The boat was amazing, sailed smoothly, and everyone had the best time. We will definitely be going back to Waypoints again in the future.

We just returned from an absolutely unforgettable experience in the British Virgin Islands with Waypoints. Our catamaran, Santori, was stunning, meticulously maintained, and the perfect choice for our group of two couples and the captain. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish. As a newcomer, I appreciated the thorough communication and prompt answers to all my questions, making me feel completely supported throughout the entire process. Captain Ron was outstanding—his expertise and connections not only enhanced our trip but also saved us money along the way. Knowing that Anthony was available to address any issues gave us peace of mind. The passion and pride of the entire Waypoints team were evident, and we are certain that we will sail with them again in the future.

These are some really good people! I've chartered twice, the first was pretty uneventful and they were professional and competent in all ways. On the second charter, pretty much everything went wrong in the first few days, none of which was the charter company's fault, just equipment and captain error (tender prop, ripped sail, broken hatch, serious anchor drama). It was stressful, to say the least, and I was especially worried about how the dock manager would handle things. On the return, I can't say it enough: they were incredibly cool. The sail was apparently designed to rip at that point, the anchor was basically bad luck, the dead prop just had a normal lifetime, and indeed we foot-crunched the hatch and were responsible for it). They basically let everything go, except the hatch of course. I was stunned. And they were wonderful to work with through the whole process: Andrew, Jackie with Sales, the hilarious check-out ladies, the new office manager who's name I can't remember but was incredibly kind. I cannot recommend them enough and look forward to many more chartering experiences in the future!

Top notch operation. We chartered out of St. Petersburg, Florida from March 12-18, 2023 for a spring break trip. This was a bareboat charter aboard Beverly Isabella (44’ monohull). I am a USCG Master with 45+ years of sailing experience. As a family, we charter 3-4 times per year in the US, Caribbean, and Europe. This was our second charter with Waypoints, St. Petersburg. We have chartered with the full gambit of companies from large to small. I find Waypoints to be the perfect combination of charter company options. They are large enough to offer multiple locations, a selection of vessels, and customer service, yet they still offer boutique quality vessels. We have chartered with the large companies. We found their service to be outstanding, but the vessels were equipped for the basic charter fleet. We like in-mast furling, watermakers, davits, electric winches, high end finishes, and boats that are set up for comfort rather than to cram the maximum number of people aboard. We have chartered with very small companies and have experienced issues with staff availability or responsiveness. Waypoints fills that middle ground. They offer one-of-a-kind vessels, equipped by/for the owners, yet they still have the quality staff to make for a smooth charter experience.

AMAZING charter in USVI on C'est La Vie. Service was excellent the entire booking (thanks, Susan) and for the charter. Captain Nick and Chef Lauren are wonderful! St. John is the perfect place to sail around, snorkel, kayak, hike, hang out on the beach, and more. It was ideal for our family of 4 - a great mix of relaxation and activities. Highly recommend this for a special vacation.

After taking their ASA 101,103, and 104 classes in February, I signed up for Sailing Florida's pre-paid charter time package and am very pleased! Capt. Ed was my instructor and he really prepared me for the charter experience using real-world and practical instructional tips during the ASA course. The Vinoy Marina is the perfect port to start your sailing adventure. We just did a stay-aboard and another sail and everything was perfect. I recommend going out to Beer Can Island! Working with Jenn W is awesome, she will help you schedule and is always very responsive to calls and emails. Also would like to recognize Engineer Mike K for always being a phone call away (24/7) for any technical support before/after/during your charter. And, Captain Jack who gets you out and back in your slip like a pro! I am looking forward to the next charter.

I recently completed the ASA 101, 103 & 104 class with Sailing Florida and highly recommend choosing Sailing Florida for your sailboat training. The employees are amazing and the sailboats are in excellent condition. I just signed up for the ASA 105 and I am looking forward to it. From getting signed up to actually sailing, the customer service was amazing. Captain Jim was our instructor and he did an amazing job. Captain Jim was always making sure that we understood the task at hand and made sure we could complete it safely. If you needing additional help, Captain Jim was there to help. Everyone got the opportunity to do every job while sailing. We had high winds, little to no wind and rain and it made the training perfect. It was great learning how to sail in all of those conditions. Make sure you read all three books and complete the practice test that are in the book, it will help a lot when while you are out on the water and for taking the real test. Thank You Sailing Florida for an amazing experience.
